Wildcats Add Three Guards to 2017 Class

As the 2016-17 season prepares to get underway, Northwestern head coach Joe McKeown announced the addition of three members to the Class of 2021 as the early signing period opened on Wednesday, Nov. 9.
Accomplished guards Lauryn Satterwhite, Jordan Hamilton and Lindsey Pulliam signed National Letters of Intent to join the Wildcats next year.
"We are really excited about this class," McKeown said. "This is one of the top groups in the Big Ten and in the country. They are all outstanding student-athletes and are great fits for Northwestern."

Lauryn Satterwhite
5-7 * Point Guard
Avondale, Ariz./Valley Vista
High School/AAU: Led team to State Championship in 2014… 27-4 record and State Final Four appearance in 2015… All-State First Team member sophomore year… Sectional First Team member and Player of the Year… Averaged 15.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 3.3 steals per game sophomore year... AAU Team (Arizona Select) was champion of the Blue Star/Nike Nationals in D.C.
Personal: Born Lauryn Holly Satterwhite… Parents are Jasper and Inger Satterwhite… Brother plays basketball at Loyola… In top 10 percent of graduating class… Member of Honor Roll… Earned All-Academic Honors in Arizona… Anticipated major is broadcasting/journalism.
McKeown on Satterwhite: "Lauryn is one of the top guards in the country as well as one of the top student-athletes. We are really excited that she chose Northwestern over so many great schools. She was raised in a great family environment and brings those values to the Wildcats. Her quickness, speed, and basketball I.Q. will be a great asset in the Big Ten."
Jordan Hamilton
5-8 * Combo Guard
Frisco, Texas/Frisco Liberty
High School/AAU: All-Conference Honorable Mention freshman year… Team Defensive MVP sophomore year… Offensive MVP, All-District, All-Area, All-State Team member junior year… All-Tournament Team member at Sandra Meadows Duncanville, FISD Tip-Off Classic, and Allen Invitational… All-State Tournament Team member… Named to Dallas Morning News All-Area Second Team… District champions three years running… State finalist sophomore year… AAU team (DFW Elite) appeared at Chicago Invitational, Nike Nationals Invitational, and Boo Williams… Finished first in EYBL Division.
Personal: Born Jordan Renee Hamilton… parents are Trenton and Shawn Hamilton… Member of National Honor Society… Academic All-District Team member every year… Earned Academic All-Excellence… Plans to major in economics.
McKeown on Hamilton: "Jordan is an exciting combo guard from Texas that will really help us both on and off the court. I love that she can score and run a team. She also comes from a high character family that stresses academics. She will love the family atmosphere at Northwestern and the student-athlete concept that makes being a Wildcat such a special thing. Jordan plays in a great high school program and that competition has only made her more ready for the Big Ten."
Lindsey Pulliam
5-10 * Guard
Silver Spring, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel
High School/AAU: WCAC Conference Honorable Mention freshman year… WCAC First Team member and Washington Post Second Team All-Met member sophomore year… WCAC Co-Player of the Year and Washington Post First Team All-Met member junior year… Montgomery Private Schools Player of the Year… ESPN 2017 Top 100 (#60) … USA Today Md. Girls Basketball First Team member… Team record of 24-7 in WCAC Conference in 2015-16 and ranked No. 22 nationally by ESPN… Advanced to Nike Nationals in 2015 with AAU Team (Fairfax Stars)… Advanced to Nike Nationals and named to All-Tournament team in 2016 with AAU Team (Takeover).
Personal: Born Lindsey Denise Pulliam… Parents are Onzilo and Susan Pulliam… Competed against fellow recruits Lauryn Satterwhite and Jordan Hamilton and current player Abi Scheid… Member of Honor Roll throughout high school… Anticipated major is business management.
McKeown on Pulliam: "Great day for the Wildcats as Lindsey brings a tremendous skill set and passion for basketball. She comes from a great family that values education and the student-athlete concept we have here at Northwestern. She also plays in a great high school program and that work ethic and winning attitude will be of great value in college. I love how she can score from all different parts of the floor and how unselfish she is as a player."
