Nia Coffey at a tea stand? Surprising!

Senior forward Nia Coffey has proven herself as one of the most dominant players in the Big Ten and in the country over the last three years at Northwestern. Now a two-time captain for Chicago's Big Ten Team, Coffey poured in 19 20-plus points performances, including a season-high 31 points in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals against top-seeded Maryland last year. She has scored in double figures in 50-straight games, dating back to Jan. 22, 2015, for the third-best streak in program history and averaged a team-best 20.3 points per game. During the 2015-16 season, Coffey led the Big Ten in double-doubles with 18 to tie an NU single-season record and was the only Big Ten player to rank among the league's top five in points (20.3 ppg), rebounds (9.8 ppg) and blocks (2.0 bpg).

The Minneapolis, Minnesota, native secured a spot on the All-B1G First Team for three-straight years and was named to the Women's Basketball Association (WBCA) All-Region 4 Team for the first time in her career just last season. In addition, Coffey was named an honorable mention All-America selection by the Associated Press to become just the third in program history.
