'Cats Trek to ITA Midwest Regional, Hoosier Classic

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's women's tennis team splits up to travel to a pair of events this weekend. Four Wildcats will travel to East Lansing, Michigan, for the ITA Midwest Regional Championships while four others make the trip to the Hoosier Classic in Bloomington, Indiana.
All NU players are set to begin action Friday.
The doubles teams of Alex Chatt/Maddie Lipp and Erin Larner/Lee Or wil represent NU at the ITA Midwest Regional. The duo of Chatt and Lipp -- ranked No. 8 in the nation -- is the top seed in the draw in East Lansing. The team already has one tournament win this fall at Northwestern's own Wildcat Invite while reaching the semifinal round of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships.
Larner and Or, who finished second to Chatt and Lipp, in the top doubles draw at the Wildcat Classic, are a No. 5-8 seed at the ITA Midwest Regional.
Northwestern's contingent at the Hoosier Classic includes Rheeya Doshi, Brooke Rischbieth, Jillian Rooney and Nina Van Oost. Doshi and Van Oost will team up in doubles play as will Rischbieth and Rooney. Doshi, Rooney and Van Oost also are set to participate in singles competition.
