Jack Leese to be Inducted into Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame

EVANSTON, Ill. – Midlands tournament coordinator Jack Leese will be inducted into the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame in September, the organization announced recently.
Leese has served as a Ken Kraft Midlands tournament director for over 35 years and was an official for 13 years, including 10 as the head official.
He was a longtime teacher and football coach at East Leyden High School in Franklin Park, Ill. and has previously been inducted into the Illinois High School Hall of Fame and the Illinois Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Leese will join some notable names in the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2015. Mike Krzyzewski, Michael Wilbon and Stan Bowman, among many others, will be inducted alongside Leese at the Hawthorne Race Course on Sept. 16.
The Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational and literary purposes. It honors and memorializes athletes, coaches, teams, officials, media and others who have distinguished themselves with their contributions to sports.
