UPDATE: Due to inclement weather in Nashville, Saturday's scheduled match between Northwestern and Vanderbilt has been postponed. No makeup date has been announced.

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern travels to Nashville, Tenn. this weekend to take on its second top-12 team of the 2015 season in No. 12 Vanderbilt. The 21st-ranked Wildcats and Commodores have met in each of the previous four seasons.

Northwestern won a 5-2 decision at home in 2012. The all-time series between the squads is tied at three.

The Wildcats are coming off a weekend in which they won a pair of home matches over Penn State and Purdue. NU started Big Ten play with a 4-3 win over Penn State on Saturday. The `Cats beat No. 33 Purdue by the same score in a match that did not count as a Big Ten contest.

Freshman Alex Chatt is off to a blistering start in the 2015 campaign. The newcomer has won all 10 sets she has played in dual matches to jump out to a 5-0 mark. Four of those wins have come in the fifth singles spot. Chatt moved up to the No. 4 position against Purdue and had little trouble disposing of Andjela Djokovic, helping Northwestern to the close win.

Alicia Barnett and Brooke Rischbieth team up on the 50th ranked doubles tandem in the country, according to the ITA. The duo is 3-3 this season with an 8-4 win in October over a Michigan tandem ranked 14th at the time.

The 12th-ranked Commodores enter Saturday's match with a 4-4 record. Vanderbilt's No. 1 singles player, Sydney Campbell, is ranked 15th. There are a couple of ranked Commodore doubles teams. Campbell and Courtney Colton make up the 18th-ranked tandem, while Ashleigh Antal and Marie Casares are 32nd.

The Wildcats are back in Evanston on Friday, Feb. 27 when they take on the sixth-ranked Baylor Bears at 6:30 p.m. inside the Combe Tennis Center. Northwestern stays home that weekend to play No. 30 Texas on Sunday, March 1 at 11 a.m.
