EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern interim head wrestling coach Matt Storniolo announced the signing of a highly regarded four-man class that will join the Wildcats for the 2016-17 season.

Nick Reenan (Dallas, Texas/Wyoming Seminary), Sebastian Rivera (Jackson, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy), Ryan Deakin (Broomfield, Colo./Legacy) and Shayne Oster (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) make up an outstanding Class of 2020 for the Wildcats.

"We are extremely excited about this group of guys," Storniolo said. "They are very talented individuals in the classroom and on the mat. They will make an immediate impact on our program as soon as they step on campus as we continue to strive to win championships."

With two top-10 commits and all four ranked among the top-25 at their respective weight classes, Northwestern will once again welcome one of the nation's top classes to Evanston next season.

The Wildcats landed one of the most sought after recruits in the country in Reenan. He is the No. 1 ranked amateur wrestler at two different weight classes: InterMat has him at the top at 182 lbs., while FloWrestling puts him first at 195 lbs. FloWrestling lists Reenan as the third-best pound for pound wrestler in the country.

Northwestern has signed on some tremendous talent at the lighter weight classes, as the 125, 133, 141 and 149-pound spots are currently comprised of upperclassmen. Garrison White (125), Dominick Malone (133) and Jameson Oster (141) are all seniors, while junior Jason Tsirtsis (149) has two years remaining.

Rivera is considered one of the top amateur wrestlers in the country. He is ranked third by InterMat at 113 lbs., while FloWrestling has him fifth at 120 lbs.

Deakin has had incredible success in high school, racking up 129 wins in three years and winning a Colorado state title. He is the 15th-ranked amateur wrestler in the country at 138 lbs., according to both InterMat and FloWrestling.

Fans will recognize the name of Northwestern's local Homer Glen commit. Oster is the younger brother of current senior and 141-pounder Jameson Oster. Shayne is ranked 16th by InterMat at 145 lbs. and FloWrestling has him 19th at 138 lbs.
