EVANSTON, Ill. – Single-game tickets for the upcoming 2015-16 Northwestern women's basketballs season will go on sale this Monday, Oct. 19, at 9 a.m.
Tickets will be available for purchase via NUSports.com or by calling 888-GO-PURPLE (467-8775).
Single-game tickets cost $7 for adults, $5 for youth, seniors and students, while groups of 15 or more can purchase tickets at a discounted rate of $3 per ticket.
Season tickets are still available for just $49, while youth are $29. A $99 season-ticket family plan also is on sale, granting admission to two adults and three children for each game.
With 23 wins to its credit during the 2014-15 season, Northwestern secured at least 20 victories for the first time in seven years under head coach Joe McKeown, and marked the first time since 1995-96 that the 'Cats won at least 20 games. The Wildcats earned the programs first NCAA Tournament bid in 18 years. The group also earned its first Associated Press poll ranking since 1996 and its first-ever acknowledgement in the USA Today Coaches poll.
Northwestern returns four starters this season, including Preseason All-Big Ten Team member Nia Coffey and her classmates Ashley Deary and Christen Inman. Senior Maggie Lyon is also back in the fold for McKeown, who begins his eighth season at the helm of the program.
The Wildcats hit the floor for the first time at Welsh-Ryan Arena for an exhibition game against Seton Hill on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. The regular season opens on Sunday, Nov. 15, when the 'Cats host Howard at 6 p.m., to tip off a three-game homestand.
Here is a sneak peek at a few of our 2015-16 promotions:
Northwestern vs. Alcorn State (Dec. 15 | 11 a.m.): Join us as the Wildcats host more than 4,000 Chicagoland youth as part of the team's annual Field Trip Day. The day aspires to help students understand the value of higher education and learn more about Northwestern University and experience a college atmosphere.
Northwestern vs. DePaul (Dec. 19 | 5 p.m.): The game marks NU's seventh annual Autism Awareness Game to fundraise for Autism Speaks. This is a cause that is very near and dear to the Northwestern women's basketball program as the Wildcats raise awareness for the cause with the annual game and regular participation in the Walk Now for Autism Speaks during the spring.
Northwestern vs. Nebraska (Jan. 3 | 1:30 p.m.): Northwestern will host MINIONS Day at Welsh-Ryan Arena on Sunday, Jan. 3, as it plays its first Big Ten home game of the season against the Nebraska.
Northwestern vs. Minnesota (Feb. 7 | 2 p.m.): Join us as the Wildcats host their annual breast cancer awareness day.
