"We are heading into another tough competition against some of the best teams in the nation," said head coach 'AHavahla Haynes, whose Wildcats went up against a loaded field last weekend in Minneapolis at the Roy Griak Invitatioanl. "This meet is a staple for the nation in regard to placing and rankings. Teams who do well this weekend will garner points toward at-large bids for the NCAA Championships. Our training has been going well which means were are moving in a positive direction. Each woman needs to commit to this race in order to better our overall team standing. We will mix up the squad competing on Friday afternoon in two races."
The meet is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. (ET) with the Blue Division 5k women's race. The Blue Division 5-mile men's race will follow at 2:45 p.m. (ET). An open race will take place at 3:30 p.m. (ET). The men and women will start simultaneously in the open race, with the women running a 5k and the men completing five miles.
Elena Barham, Camille Blackman, Sara Coffey, Allison Jacobsen, Megan O'Brien, Jena Pianin, Brooke Pigneri and Rachel Weathered will run for the Wildcats in the Blue Division.
