Young 'Cats Conclude Action at Wildcat Invitational

ITA All-American Championships
EVANSTON, Ill. – The Wildcat Invitational concluded on Sunday, while the prequalifying round of doubles came to a close at the ITA All-American Championships.
Alex Chatt finished her weekend by beating Audrey Ann Blakely of Pittsburgh, 6-4, 6-2. Aslina Chua narrowly edged Jillian Rooney, 6-1, 4-6, 7-5, and Erin Larner fell in a close, hard-fought match to DePaul's Rebeca Mitrea, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 to end the day.
Larner teamed up with Brooke Rischbieth in doubles play to take down Erin Faulkner and Athena Trouillot of Michigan State, while Rooney and Rheeya Doshi were edged by the Spartans' Allie Baer and Catherine Parenteau.
At the ITA All-American Championships, Leung and Peri battled Ryann Foster and Danielle Wagland of Texas for a spot in the qualifying doubles round. Foster and Wagland came away with an 8-3 victory.
Northwestern is back in action at the Virginia Invite hosted by the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. from Oct. 10 through Oct. 12.
