Northwestern Announces Coaches Clinic on Oct. 25

Northwestern Wrestling Coaches Clinic -- Registration Form
EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern head coach Drew Pariano and his staff have announced plans for the annual NU Wrestling Coaches Clinic, slated for Saturday, Oct. 25, at Barrington High School in Barrington, Ill. The clinic begins at 11 a.m. and is open to all coaches and parents as well as athletes in junior high or grade school.
Per NCAA rules, high school wrestlers are not eligible to attend this clinic.
The event will provide instruction on numerous areas, including takedown drills, handfighting essentials, quick tilts and turns and proper drill-match mentality.
Instruction will be provided by Pariano as well as veteran assistant coaches Jay Borschel, Matt Storniolo and Conor Beebe along with former NU head coach Tim Cysewski. Northwestern's 2014 NCAA champion Jason Tsirtsis and 2013 NCAA finalist Mike McMullan also will be present for the clinic. The Wildcats are coming off a 2014 season in which they place ninth as a team at the NCAA Championships, highlighted by Tsirtsis' 149-pound national title.
