Sunday's Series Finale at Penn State Cancelled

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Northwestern was scheduled to play the finale of a three-game set at Penn State Sunday, but the game has been cancelled because of inclement weather.
Rain began in the area around 1 p.m. local time Saturday and continued overnight. State College has also experienced snow flurries Sunday morning to go along with plunging temperatures that are expected to remain throughout the day.
The Wildcats open a season-long nine-game homestand Wednesday, April 2 at Rocky Miller Park against Western Michigan. Northwestern's next Big Ten series is slated for April 4-6 when it's downstate rivals, the Fighting Illini of Illinois, travel north to Evanston for a three-game series.
