NCAA Releases Championships Bracket in Oklahoma City

EVANSTON, Ill. – The NCAA released the official brackets for the NCAA Championships next weekend at the Chesapeake Energy Arena from March 20-22.
The brackets are available by clicking on the link at the top of the page.
Five Northwestern wrestlers were selected after receiving automatic bids by placing during the Big Ten Championships in Madison, Wis. March 8 and 9.
Competing for the 'Cats will be Dominick Malone at 133 lbs., Jason Tsirtsis at 149 lbs., Pierce Harger at 165 lbs., Alex Polizzi at 197 lbs. and Mike McMullan at 285 lbs.
Malone (16-15) will take on Tyler Graff, the No. 5 seed from Wisconsin in the first round at 133 lbs. Tsirtis earned the No. 5 seed at 149 lbs. and will take on Bryce Busler (BLO).
In the 165 lbs. bracket, Harger is the No. 7 seed and will face Zach Toal (MIZZ) in the first round. Polizzi is the No. 16 seed at 197 lbs. and will face Stanford's Dan Scherer in the first round.
In the heavyweight bracket, Mike McMullan, the No. 6 seed faces Evan Knutson from North Dakota State.

149: No. 5 Jason Tsirtsis (NU) vs. Bryce Busler (BLO)

165: No. 7 Pierce Harger (NU) vs. Zach Toal (MIZZ)
Faces winner of Austin Wilson (NEB) vs. No. 10 Cooper Moore (UNI)
197: No. 16 Alex Polizzi (NU) vs. Dan Scherer (STAN)
Winner takes on No. 1 Nick Heflin (OSU) vs. Paul Rands (NAVY)
285: No. 6 Mike McMullan (NU) vs. Evan Knutson (NDSU)
Faces winner of No. 11 Austin Marsden (OKST) vs. Collin Jensen (NEB)
The 2014 NCAA Championships begin on Thursday March 20 and will be televised across the ESPN network and online on ESPN3.com. The schedule is below.
