NU In The Rankings
Coming off its first dual loss of the season at the hands of No. 12 Lehigh, Northwestern remained No. 16 in the country in the latest InterMat.com team dual rankings and moved to No. 10 in the team tournament index. Individually, Jason Tsirtsis (10-0) and Mike McMullan (5-0) remain No. 1 nationally at 149 and 285 pounds, respectively, while senior 165-pounder Pierce Harger (8-1) and senior 197-pounder Alex Polizzi (8-1) held firm at No. 8 and No. 9 at their respective weight classes. Freshman Bryce Brill, who has missed the last two weekends of competition due to injury, remains No. 19 in the country at 157 pounds.

This Week's Opponents
Last Sunday, the Wildcats squared off with Lehigh in dual action for only the third time in program history, and this weekend they'll again see some rarely-scheduled opposition. Northwestern has only faced Cal Poly, Drexel and Princeton once each in program history and will be meeting Davidson for the first time on Saturday. The 'Cats defeated Drexel, 44-3, in 2010-11; defeated Princeton, 27-11, in 2001-02; and fell to Cal Poly, 27-10, in 2002-03.

Next Up For the 'Cats
After Saturday, the Wildcats will turn their attention to their studies as they head into final exams week at Northwestern. The next time NU steps into competition on the mat will be Thursday, Dec. 18, when they open Big Ten action on the road at No. 1-ranked Minnesota. The match will air live to a national TV audience on the Big Ten Network.
