EVANSTON, Ill. - After playing just five matches overall on the first day of the Wildcat Fall Duals, Northwestern saw action in 19 on Saturday. The `Cats took 14 of them against players from Yale and Furman.

Continuing the round-robin format, the draws matched Northwestern against Yale in the early morning. The Wildcats and Bulldogs split six 12-game pro-set singles matches, but NU gained the upper hand in doubles, winning three out of four. Northwestern had a much easier time of it playing against opponents from Furman, winning all six singles and two of three doubles matches.

Senior Lok Sze Leung and freshman Erin Larner won both of their matches Saturday. In the morning session, Leung beat Yale's Sherry Li 12-9 before taking down Blair Martin of Furman, 6-3, 6-1 later in the day. Larner was a 12-3 winner over Carol Finke of Yale and shut out Furman's Joan van Lochem, 6-0, 6-0.

In the lone battle of ranked foes, No. 123 Alicia Barnett was upended by the nation's 103rd-ranked player in Yale's Hanna Yu, 12-8.

Head coach Claire Pollard took the opportunity on Saturday to mix up the team's doubles pairings. Northwestern put seven different duos on the court throughout the day to the tune of a 5-2 record.

Freshman Alex Chatt was part of two dominant showings. In the morning, she teamed up with Leung to defeat the Yale tandem of Courtney Amos and Caroline Lynch, 8-2. The afternoon schedule saw Chatt paired with Brooke Rischbieth. The duo scored a convincing 8-1 decision over Karlee Bryde and Alejandra Gil of Furman. Rischbieth was partnered with Jillian Rooney earlier in the day, and they won 8-2 over Yale's Valerie Shklover and Elizabeth Zordani.

The Wildcat Fall Duals conclude tomorrow beginning at 8 a.m. The `Cats wrap up their fall season when they match up against players from DePaul at 2 p.m.
