Northwestern head coach Joe McKeown is entering his seventh season in Evanston and has a number of playmakers returning to his squad for 2014-15, including all five starters and five All-Big Ten honorees. Included in that group is sophomore Nia Coffey, who was a First Team All-Big Ten recipient as a freshman while leading the 'Cats in scoring and rebounding. Two All-Big Ten point guards, sophomore Ashley Deary and senior Karly Roser (2013 All-Big Ten), will hold steady in the NU backcourt while junior All-Big Ten recipients Maggie Lyon and Lauren Douglas are also back this season.
Northwestern returned to the postseason during the 2013-14 campaign, advancing to the third round of the WNIT. Along the way, the 'Cats utilized their home court advantage at Welsh-Ryan Arena to upset three top-25 opponents and win 13 home games.
