URBANA, Ill. - Lok Sze Leung and Alicia Barnett won their respective singles match on Sunday to advance to the quarterfinals at the ITA Midwest Regionals.

Both will face a player from Michigan on Monday with spots in the semifinals on the line.

Leung upset No. 29 Quinn Gleason of Notre Dame in Sunday's Round of 16 in a three-set thriller by a score of 7-6 (5), 2-6, 6-3. She will face another nationally-ranked foe in Michigan's No. 77 Sarah Lee on Monday.

Barnett was dominant, taking down host Illinois' Melissa Kopinski 6-3, 6-2. She will face a tough test tomorrow against Ronit Yurovsky, the nation's 21st ranked player.

The finals are set in the doubles draw, and Northwestern fell just short of claiming a spot in the title match. The duo of Barnett and Brooke Rischbieth was defeated 8-1 by Notre Dame's 28th-ranked tandem of Quinn Gleason and Monica Robinson in the semifinals. Barnett and Rischbieth earned an 8-4 decision over No. 14 Yurovsky and Lee of Michigan in the quarterfinals to advance to that semifinal match.

The quarterfinals and semifinals of singles will be played Monday afternoon after the conclusion of the doubles final.

More information can be found at the official tournament site.
