'Cats Advance to Day Four of ITA Midwest Regionals

URBANA, Ill. - The singles main draw got underway on Saturday, and two Northwestern players advanced through to the Round of 16.
Lok Sze Leung received a first-round bye before defeating Rebeca Mitrea of DePaul by a 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 score. Leung will play Notre Dame's Quinn Gleason on Sunday.
Alicia Barnett also had a bye in the first round on Saturday and matched up with Allie Miller of Notre Dame in the second. Barnett was a 6-2, 6-1 winner and will face Melissa Kopinski of Illinois.
In the doubles draw, Barnett and Rischbieth continued their run, knocking off Kopinski and Louise Kwong from Illinois, 8-6. They will meet Ronit Yurovsky and Sarah Lee of Michigan in the quarterfinals on Sunday morning.
