EVANSTON, Ill. -- Head coach April Likhite's Northwestern Wildcats are back in action Saturday morning at the 28th annual Lucian Rosa Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. The women's race is slated to begin at 11 a.m. CT.
One of three Division I teams in the meet along with Illinois-Chicago and Chicago State, Northwestern will send a large contingent of representatives to Kenosha with their eyes set on achieving 5K personal bests.
Northwestern claimed first place in the team standing's at last year's event with a meet-best 57 points. Then-sophomore Elena Barham won the event but this year is one of six NU runners not participating Saturday while gearing their training toward next week's Pre-Nationals Invitational at Indiana State.

Join NU for Final Friendly 5K Tuesday
Northwestern Cross Country will host its third and final fun 5K event of the fall this Tuesday (Oct. 14) at Lakeside Field in Evanston. Runners and all ages and abilities are invited to participate. On-site registration begins at 5:30 p.m., and at 6 p.m. runners will set off on a scenic 3.1-mile run along the shores of Lake Michigan and through Northwestern University's inner campus. Cost of entry is $10 for adults and $5 for youths 17 and under.
