Huskie Open On Deck for Northwestern

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern Cross Country is returns to the track this weekend when it heads to nearby Northern Illinois University for the Huskie Open Saturday in DeKalb. Eight area schools are scheduled to compete in DeKalb, with the Wildcats sending 17 representatives to race in the women's 5K race.
The 5K event is slated to go off at 3:45 p.m. CT Saturday at NIU's Track and Field Complex. Illinois, Bradley, UIC and host Northern Illinois each have entrants in the 5K, with Northwestern senior Audrey Huth entered as the top overall seed time of 16:40. Huth is coming off a 16:43 performance two weeks ago when she became a four-time winner of the event at the Chicagoland Championships at Lewis University.
Northern Illinois will provide live results of the meet on BranchSportsTech.com and results also will be available on NUsports.com following the race.
