EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern student-athletes accomplished their 20th consecutive quarter with a cumulative GPA over 3.00 after finishing with an overall GPA of 3.22 in the winter of 2013. This GPA marks the third highest quarterly total in the last 13 years.

Among the achievements of the winter were 17 out of 19 teams recording a GPA of 3.00 or higher. Top performer women's cross country led the way at 3.54, followed closely by women's swimming at 3.52 and field hockey at 3.51. Women's soccer and women's basketball also contributed top marks at 3.46 and 3.37, respectively.
