EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern incoming freshman Nia Coffey (Minneapolis, Minn./Hopkins) has a busy week in store, playing in two high school All-American games. The 6-1 forward begins her week close to Northwestern, competing at the 2013 McDonald's All-American Game on Wednesday at the United Center in Chicago. She then travels to New Orleans for the 2013 Women's Basketball Coaches Association High School All-American Game at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6. The WBCA game takes place at the New Orleans Arena, the site of the 2013 NCAA Women's Final Four.

Wildcat fans can watch Coffey on Wednesday as the McDonald's All-American game airs live on ESPNU at 6 p.m. CT. She is the lone Big Ten signee selected to participate in both games.

Coffey recently led Hopkins High School to its third-straight Minnesota state title. She had 25 points and 16 rebounds in the championship game and was named to the Class AAAA All-Tournament Team. The No. 1 ranked recruit out of Minnesota also earned 2013 Associated Press All-State honors.

Coffey is one of four incoming freshmen that will join the 'Cats for the 2013-14 season, along with guard Ashley Deary (Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound), guard Christen Inman (Katy, Texas/Seven Lakes), who received WBCA High School All-America honorable mention accolades, and forward Allie Tuttle (Cary, N.C./Panther Creek).
