USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Release
EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern Cross Country, which placed fourth at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships in 2012, was recognized Monday by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for its academic achievements. The Wildcats were tabbed a Division I Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team after accumulating a 3.4 team GPA for the 2012 fall quarter.
Northwestern, which landed 17 runners on the Academic All-Big Ten team in 2012, ranked among the Big Ten leaders in team GPA, checking in less than one tenth of a point behind conference leader Illinois (3.49.)
The Wildcats are in the midst of their competitive spring track schedule, returning to the track this weekend at Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invitational (March 1-2).
