EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern incoming freshman Nia Coffey was one of 24 players selected to compete at the 2013 McDonald's All-American Game. The 12th annual high school all-star event takes place in Chicago, at the United Center, on Wednesday, April 3, at 6 p.m. NU fans can watch the game live on ESPNU.
 
Coffey, a 6-1 forward from Hopkins High School in Minneapolis, Minn., will play on the East Team. This is the second high school All-America honor for Coffey as she was recently selected to compete in the 2013 WBCA High School All-America Game, which takes place Saturday, April 6, at the New Orleans Arena, the site of the NCAA Women's Final Four.
 
Coffey is the third NU signee under head coach Joe McKeown to receive McDonald's All-America honors. She is one of four incoming freshmen that will join the 'Cats for the 2013-14 season, along with guard Ashley Deary (Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound), guard Christen Inman (Katy, Texas/Seven Lakes), who recently received WBCA High School All-America honorable mention accolades, and forward Allie Tuttle (Cary, N.C./Panther Creek).
