'Cats Conclude Fall Season with Strong Performance

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern took on DePaul on Sunday at the Wildcat Fall Duals after posting impressive victories against both Oklahoma and Yale through the first two days of the event. The 'Cats provided more of the same, winning four of five matches on the day against the Blue Demons.

Manon Peri finished the weekend with a 3-0 record after downing Zaina Sufi 6-1, 6-4. The freshman finishes her fall campaign with an 8-1 mark. Veronica Corning knocked off Patricia Fargas by a 6-3, 6-3 score in the first singles flight. Corning recorded a 2-0 mark during the duals.

Lok Sze Leung was also victorious, posting a 6-4, 6-1 win over Kelsey Lawson. Brooke Rischbieth gave the 'Cats more of the same, defeating Rebeca Mitrea 6-2, 6-0.

The team will enjoy a lengthy break before returning to action on January 17 when NU hosts the Wildcat Winter Duals.
