Northwestern Aims for Strong Outing at Illini Open

Illini Open -- Meet Information
EVANSTON -- With much of the Northwestern roster in training for next week's Big Ten Championships, the Wildcats will also be well represented at Friday's Illini Open 5K meet in Urbana, Ill.
The women's race, which features squads from Bradley, Butler, Eastern Illinois, Loyola (Chicago) and host Illinois, is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. CT at the U of I Arboretum.
The following nine Wildcats are set to compete: Mallory Abel, Jessie Baloga, Allison Jacobsen, Allison Naval, Nicole Oliver, Ellen Patterson, Hannah Rose, Charlotte ter Haar and Renee Wellman.
Northwestern last competed in the Illinois home meet in 2011, when then-sophomore Michelle Moriset placed second in a field of 34 competitors to lead NU to a team victory at the event.
