Margaret Bradley Invite -- Complete Results

CHICAGO -- A handful of Northwestern runners competed unattached at Saturday's Margaret Bradley Invitational hosted by the University of Chicago and put together strong efforts in a trio of events.

Sophomore Lexie Goldsmith paced the Wildcat field in the 5K with a stellar time of 17:20.7 while junior Ashley Greenwell followed suit in 17:35. Greenwell's classmate, Lauren Neuschel, also submitted a sub-18-minute performance (17:58.9).

Sophomore Nicole Oliver (18:05.3) and junior Moira Ryan (18:17.8) rounded out NU's entrants in the field, with all five Wildcats finishing ahead of next-best performer, Gina Valgoi of Loyola (Ill.).

In the 3K, junior Janelle Li-A-Ping paced all entrants with her time of 10:12.06, just a shade faster than sophomore teammate Ann Powers,

Northwestern also entered three squads into the 4x400-meter relay event, which saw Powers, Libby Kocha, Neuschel and Henry finish first among the trio of Wildcat teams with an overall time of 4:30.34.

NU's spring track season continues in two weeks with representation at Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invitational, March 2-3.
