Rain and Thunder Wipes Out Saturday at Mardi Gras Invitational

LAFAYETTE, La. -- Mardi Gras parades will be no (King's) Cakewalk Into Town Saturday in Lafayette, La. Rain and thunder have produced flash flood warnings and suspended play at the 8th Annual Mardi Gras Invitational. UPDATE: All Saturday action is canceled.
Northwestern was scheduled to face UTEP at 11 a.m. CT and North Carolina at 6 p.m. CT Saturday. Instead, the Wildcats will face the Tarheels at 9 a.m. CT Sunday morning, Feb. 19, at Louisiana-Lafayette's main Lamson Park. This game replaces the previously scheduled Sunday morning game against Northwestern State at Field #2.
