Final Seeds Released for 50th Ken Kraft Midlands Championships

EVANSTON, Ill. – Final seeds for the 50th Ken Kraft Midlands Championships are now available (PDF link at the top of the page). Official brackets will be released Saturday morning, immediately after weigh-ins.
Eight Northwestern wrestlers are seeded in their respective weight classes. Senior Jason Welch, who is a returning Midlands Champion is the No. 1 seed at 157 lbs., sophomore heavyweight Mike McMullan is No. 2 and another returning Midlands Champion, sophomore Lee Munster, is No. 3 at 174.
Other seeded Wildcats include senior Levi Mele (No. 9, 133), freshman Dominick Malone (No. 9, 125), freshman Jason Tsirtsis (wrestling unattached, No. 8, 141), sophomore Pierce Harger (No. 6, 165) and sophomore Alex Polizzi (No. 12, 197).
Wrestling at the 50th Ken Kraft Midlands begins tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. with Session I.
