EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern head women's basketball coach Joe McKeown has announced that junior guard Meghan McKeown (Glencoe, Ill./Loyola Academy) will miss the remainder of the 2012-13 season following hip surgery.

“Meghan had a season-ending injury and surgery last week. It's been a difficult and a tough loss for our team, but her attitude and determination will help her come back and move forward to next year,” Northwestern head coach Joe McKeown said.

McKeown played three games this season before being sidelined with the injury. She was one of the key reserves during the 2011-12 campaign, playing all 30 contests and averaging 11.6 minutes per contest.
