EVANSTON, ILL. --Northwestern embarks on a trip northward to Wisconsin to square off against the Badgers at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Kohl Center. NOTING NORTHWESTERN
Jaeschke Collects Player of the Week Honors
Amy Jaeschke was tabbed Big Ten Player of the Week for the fourth time this season after averaging 25.5 points per game in a pair of Northwestern victories last week, the Conference office announced.

Finishing with two 20-point outings, the senior also averaged 7.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in wins over Illinois and Ohio State. Against the Illini, she scored 22 points and hit the game-winning jumper with 1.4 seconds remaining in an 80-79 win. Versus the Buckeyes, Jaeschke poured in 29 points, along with seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in a 74-68 triumph in Columbus.

Last Time Against Wisconsin...
Neither team allowed the other to get more than a two-possession lead until the 2:40 mark of the second half when Wisconsin pulled away to claim a 62-50 victory at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Senior Meshia Reed paced NU with 13 points while fellow classmate Beth Marshall added 12.

Jaeschke Added to State Farm Wade Watch List
Senior Amy Jaeschke was added to the 2010-11 State Farm Wade Watch Trophy Watch List, it was announced Wednesday. Jaeschke joins six other women's basketball players who were added to the preseason list of 25. The award goes to the nation's most outstanding NCAA Division I women's basketball player, one who not only excels athletically but also serves as a positive role model both on and off the court.

Jaeschke Cracks NCAA Division I Career Blocks List
Amy Jaeschke recorded her 336th block against Wisconsin Sunday, placing her name on the NCAA Division I career blocks list. Jaeschke currently ranks fifth in the nation with 3.7 blocks per outing and has 340 career blocks, which ranks 23rd on the prestigious list.

Jaeschke Moves Into Second on NU's All-Time Scoring List
Senior Amy Jaeschke's 11th point against Ohio State Sunday night scooted her into second on Northwestern's all-time scoring list with 1,815 points. She has led Northwestern in scoring in 20 out of NU's 24 games.

Rebounding, Free-Throws Lead NU to Victories
Over the last two games, nearly every statistical category has either been identical between Northwestern and its opponents. The differences between wins and losses can be found in two places for the Wildcats--on the glass and at the line. NU is out-rebounding its last two opponents by 4.5 per outing and has converted on 31-of-41 from attempts from the charity stripe (76 percent).

Balanced Attack Keys Victory
Amy Jaeschke can dump in 30 points but the ultimate outcome is oftentimes contingent on her supporting cast. Every Wildcat who stepped on the floor against Illinois last Thursday found the scoring column, led by Jaeschke with 22 points. Additionally, seven of the nine players who logged minutes scored at least five points against Ohio State Sunday. Role players Allison Mocchi, Dannielle Diamant and Tailor Jones have all been key in the past two victories.
