Northwestern Sweeps Training Trip Dual

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Northwestern defeated Austin College and host Colorado College Friday evening during its annual winter training trip dual meet competition. Exact team scores were not available immediately after the meet.
Northwestern won all 10 swimming events held during the meet, led by senior Meghan Cavanaugh's two victories in the 100 fly and 100 back. Jackie Powell (200 free), Meredith King (50 free), Kathleen Patterson (200 IM), Valerie Nubbe (100 free), Megan Goss (500 free) and Katie McCullough (100 breast) also garnered individual wins for the Wildcats.
NU's relay teams in the 200 medley and 800 free won those events as well to move the Wildcats to 5-2 overall on the dual-meet season. Results and times are available in the .pdf at the top of this page.
After returning from Colorado, Northwestern gets back to action Jan. 14 against Michigan and Notre Dame in Ann Arbor, Mich.
