NU Announces Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern senior Jeremy Ebert (Hilliard, Ohio/Hillard-Darby) and sophomore Cosima Lenz (Altadena, Calif./Polytechnic School) have been named NU's Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week for their performances over the weekend.
Ebert became the first Wildcat since 2004 to go over 200 yards receiving in a single game, finishing with 208 yards and two scores in Northwestern's 28-6 victory over Rice. Ebert's pair of touchdowns included a 90-yard catch-and-run, marking the second-longest pass play in NU football history. The senior has moved into third all-time at Northwestern with 2,264 receiving yards and also ranks third in the Wildcat record books with 20 career touchdown catches.
Lenz obliterated her career-bests on both springboards in Big Ten competition against Wisconsin, winning the 3-meter board with a 356.91 and the 1-meter with a 301.50 -- the first time she ever broke the 300-point barrier on the 1-meter board. The sweep also marks the first time this season she defeated her sister and earlier 2011 Big Ten Diver of the Week, Felicitas Lenz, in both events in a single meet. In a tri-dual with UIC and North Dakota Saturday, Cosima finished second behind her sister in both events to give NU a 1-2 finish and big points on both boards. All of the scores she recorded on the weekend were NCAA Zone qualifying totals.
This week's Community Outreach Athlete of the Week is sophomore Tyler Scott (Warren, Ohio/Howland) of the football team. Scott and several of his teammates visited Children's Memorial Hospital last Friday, spending time with numerous patients, signing autographs and posing for pictures.
