WINNETKA, Ill.-- Play at the 2011 Wildcat Invitational concluded Sunday afternoon with the three Wildcats in action at the A.C. Nielsen Tennis Center all posting singles victories in their only matches of the day.

Northwestern junior Linda Abu Mushrefova (Bradenton, Fla./Pendleton) continued to roll through flight 'A' of the singles draw as she knocked off Oklahoma Marie-Pier Huet in straight sets, 6-2 and 6-2. Mushrefova was one of two players to finish the competition with a spotless record in singles play along with South Carolina's Jaklin Alawi.

Sophomore Nida Hamilton (Oak Brook, Ill./Hinsdale Central) followed suit in flight 'B' as she beat DePaul's Patricia Fargas Osorio in two hard fought sets, 6-2 and 6-4. Hamilton joined Oklahoma's Nicole Long as the undefeated players in flight 'B.' On Friday, Hamilton and Mushrefova teamed up to win flight 'A' of the doubles draw at the Combe Indoor Tennis Center on Northwestern's campus.

In flight 'C,' Natalie Edell (Westlake Village, Calif./Westlake) outlasted Iowa's Christina Harazin in a back-and-forth affair. Edell claimed victory in the first set, 7-5, before dropping the second frame, 3-6. Edell rallied however to capture the second set super breaker to secure the victory.

Northwestern's talented trio combined to post 12 wins over the three days of competition at the Wildcat Invitational.

The Wildcats will next head west to Los Angeles, Calif. to participate at the ITA All-American Championships. Play begins Tuesday, Oct. 4 in the qualifying singles draw.
