EVANSTON, Ill. -- Coming off a full team effort--five 'Cats reached double-figures--in Sunday's 76-64 win over Purdue, Northwestern continues its hosting duties at 7:30 Thursday when it welcomes 12-4 Penn State to Welsh-Ryan Arena. The game will be carried live on the Big Ten Network with Leah Secondo and Mary Murphy on the call. It is the first of five Wildcat conference games that will be carried on the Big Ten Network.
Catching Up With the 'Cats
High Five
In this week's NCAA statistics, senior Amy Jaeschke ranks fifth in the nation in both scoring (23.6 ppg) and in blocks per game (4.0). She continues to be a conference leader in several categories, appearing in the top five in rebounding (9.1), defensive rebounds (7.1) and in minutes (35.4). Additionally, Jaeschke has been named Big Ten Player of the Week on three occasions.

'Cats Among Nation's RPI Leaders
Northwestern owns an RPI of 19 in the first rankings, which came out Tuesday. The Wildcats are in good company, joining fellow Conference squads Ohio State (12), Iowa (13), Michigan (14) and Michigan State (18) in the top 20.
Wildcats Turning Some Heads
In just the first eight weeks of the season, Northwestern has been rewarded with a Big Ten Player of the Week honor four times. Senior Amy Jaeschke has been recognized three times while Brittany Orban has garnered the accolade on one occasion.
