NU Announces Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Wildcat senior Quentin Davie (St. Louis, Mo./Cardinal Ritter) of the football team and sophomore Audrey Huth (Shelby, Mich./Utica) of the cross country team have been named Northwestern's Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week for their performances over the weekend.
Davie spearheaded an outstanding performance by the NU defense in a 30-13 win at Rice on Saturday, scoring the game's first touchdown with an 11-yard interception return in the second quarter. It was Davie's third interception of the season, a number that ranks in a tie for second in the nation among. The senior linebacker also racked up a team-best 10 tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss as the `Cats held Rice without a touchdown until the Owls scored in the final minute with the game already in hand for NU.
Huth placed first overall at the Illinois Intercollegiates meet hosted by Illinois State, helping NU to its second straight meet victory to start the season. The sophomore completed the 5K race in a personal-best cross country time of 17:35 to top the field, the sixth time in her young career she has been the Wildcats' leading finisher.
This week's Community Service Athlete of the Week is senior Cody Stanley (Lansing, Ill./Mt. Carmel) of the men's soccer team. Cody and other members of the men's and women's soccer programs have hosted several free clinics for Evanston AYSO youth soccer teams recently and signed autographs after their games this weekend at Lakeside Field.
