Fab Four Invite Results -- Doubles
DURHAM, N.C. -- Northwestern has four representatives competing at the Fab Four Invite hosted by Duke this weekend, including sixth-ranked Maria Mosolova. Mosolova kicked off her senior campaign with a swift 6-2, 6-3 win over Princeton's Rachel Saiontz in Flight A while freshman Belinda Niu defeated Alabama's Merritt Emery, 6-0, 6-3, in Flight C.
Mosolova advanced to face North Carolina's Zoe de Bruycker at 10:30 a.m. CT while Niu earned a quarterfinal matchup with Duke's Hanna Mar.

Niu also teamed up with sophomore Brittany Wowchuk for a doubles win after falling in the opening round of Flight B competition to Rachael White and Allison Falkin of Illinois. Niu and Wowchuk overcame North Carolina's experienced tandem of Zoe de Bruycker and Jocelyn Ffriend, 8-3, in the consolation semifinals.
NU freshman Nida Hamilton joined Niu in making her debut but lost 6-1, 6-1, to 111th-ranked Mary Clayton of Duke in Flight A.
