EVANSTON, Ill. -- Student-athletes representing all 19 Northwestern varsity sports participated in the 152nd annual commencement Friday evening (June 18) at Ryan Field. Convocations for all of the schools and colleges at Northwestern will take place tomorrow, Saturday, June 19, at various locations across campus.

Wildcat alum Michael Wilbon, sports columnist for the Washington Post and co-host of the popular ESPN show, "Pardon the Interruption," addressed graduates, parents and guests Friday evening. He flew in Friday morning after covering the NBA Finals Thursday night in Los Angeles.

Wilbon, a member of Northwestern's Board of Trustees, received a bachelor of science in journalism degree in 1980 from Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism.

Northwestern will have over 100 student-athletes receive degrees during the weekend.
