EVANSTON, Ill. -- Young wrestlers looking to train with many of the best coaches and wrestlers in the country this summer will be able to do just that at the annual Northwestern Wrestling Camps in Evanston. NU is offering four total sessions during the weeks of June 27-30 and July 11-14 that will feature highly individualized coaching on the best training methods and techniques.

"The Northwestern Camp System has become an exceptional tool in a wrestler's wrestling career regardless of the age or skill level," said NU associate head coach and co-camp director Drew Pariano. "Our intensive camp challenges all wrestlers and our technique camps have always been top notch. The team/competition camp is gaining momentum and it is our desire to attract teams from across the nation."

Interested participants can learn complete camp information and register online now at NUWrestlingcamps.com or download the PDF camp brochure, linked above.

Northwestern wrestling camps are directed by Pariano and 20-year head coach at Northwestern Tim Cysewski, who together over the past five years have coached 23 NCAA qualifiers, 11 All-Americans, six Big Ten champions and three national champions at NU.

The winners of those three individual titles -- Jake Herbert (2007, 2009) and Dustin Fox (2008) -- join Pariano and Cysewski on the Northwestern camp staff. Herbert, the 2009 Hodge Trophy winner, is coming off winning his second straight U.S. Open title after winning a World silver medal last September during his first year as a U.S. World Team member at 84 kg. Fox, meanwhile, is two years removed from winning the triple crown of college wrestling in his senior season, bringing home heavyweight titles from the Midlands, Big Ten and NCAA Championships.

Also on the camp clinician staff is NU assistant coach Matt Storniolo, a two-time All-American while at Oklahoma who in 2009 coached Old Dominion's Ryan Williams to the 141-pound NCAA title match.
