WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Heavy rains Saturday night and into Sunday morning in the greater West Lafayette area have forced the start of Sunday's baseball series finale between Northwestern and Purdue to be delayed. The game was originally scheduled for a noon Central time start. UPDATE: The rain has stopped and the tarp has been removed. The teams are shooting for a start time of approximately 2:30 p.m. CT

Weather had previously forced the teams to adjust their series schedule as rain forced the postponement of Friday's contest. The teams played a doubleheader Saturday with Purdue winning the first game 2-1 and Northwestern taking the nightcap 7-5.

Northwestern (14-23, 6-5 Big Ten) is shooting for its third consecutive Big Ten series win.
