Northwestern Sports Medicine Department Sponsors Shoe Drive

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's Intercollegiate Sports Medicine Department is sponsoring a Share Your Soles shoe drive March 8-12, 2010, as a community service event during National Athletic Training Month.

A shoe donation box will be located on Northwestern's main campus at Patten Gymnasium (2407 Sheridan Road), and three additional boxes will be located on the Ryan Field campus (1501 Central Street) in Anderson Hall, the Buehler Athletic Training Room and Welsh-Ryan Arena. Donations of new or lightly used shoes, cleats, sandals, etc., are encouraged.

Share Your Soles is a not-for-profit charitable foundation that is not affiliated with any government, church or political organization. It delivers shoes to needy people all over the world. For more information on the foundation, link to shareyoursoles.org.
