Wildcats Draw Michigan In Opening Round of Big Ten Tournament

PARK RIDGE, Ill. -- Northwestern will face seventh-seeded Michigan in the opening round of the 2010 Big Ten Tournament Thursday at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Tip is set for 11 a.m. CT and will be carried live on the Big Ten Network.
With a 16-13 overall mark, the 10th-seeded Wildcats finished with the most wins since the 1996-97 season, while Michigan completed the regular season with an overall record of 16-12 and an 8-10 conference effort. Northwestern won both regular-season battles against the Wolverines, including a 63-59 victory in Ann Arbor on Dec. 18 and a 64-60 triumph at Welsh-Ryan Arena on Feb. 4.
