EVANSTON, Ill. -- Junior Brittany Orban picked up her first career Big Ten Player of the Week honor after leading Northwestern to a 70-60 victory over Toledo last Wednesday, the conference office announced today. It is the fourth honor for a Wildcat in just the first seven weeks of the season, as Amy Jaeschke has been recognized on three occasions.

Orban, a North Canton, Ohio, native, filled up the stat sheet against her fellow Buckeye State visitors, recording her fourth double-double of the year to earn the honor. She finished with 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the floor and 11 rebounds, five of which were on the offensive end. She added five assists and three steals to help Northwestern finish the nonconference season with an 11-2 mark and an undefeated home record thus far this season.

The Wildcats open Big Ten play at 6 p.m. CT Thursday when they travel to Bloomington, Ind. to face the Hoosiers.
