Friday's Basketball Openers Highlight Winter Streaming Slate

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern fans will have more chances than ever to catch their favorite Wildcat teams during the 2010-11 winter season, thanks to internet stream schedules released today (Wednesday).
Starting with coverage of both the men's basketball and women's basketball season openers on Friday, at least 24 Northwestern basketball and wrestling competitions will be available for fans to watch online. Games will be available either through the Wildcats All Access subscription package on NUsports.com or on BigTenNetwork.com. A current schedule of winter streams is listed below.
With the streaming coverage, 28 of Northwestern's 29 men's basketball games will either be televised or available to watch online. Additionally, 20 women's basketball games and at least six wrestling matches, including the 2011 Big Ten Championships at Welsh-Ryan Arena, will also have television or internet coverage.
Streaming may be added for additional road games and will be updated on the sport schedule pages.
Wildcats All Access is a subscription video service on NUsports.com. Video offerings vary based on the sport season, but include live streaming video or audio of selected events, as well as live and on-demand access to media news conferences, game highlights, interviews with coaches and student-athletes and more. The Big Ten Network offers four subscription packages for games on its website, with monthly or annual options available for a Big Ten conference pass or individual schools. More information is available at http://video.bigtennetwork.com.
