2010 BIG TEN FIELD HOCKEY TOURNAMENT
Thursday-Sunday, Nov. 4-7 Lakeside Field
For the first time since 2004, Northwestern will serve as the host site for the Big Ten Field Hockey Championships. Fifth-seeded NU is competing in the Tournament's opening contest, taking on fourth-seeded Michigan State at 10 a.m. Thursday. Following that match, there will be two more opening-round games Thursday followed by the semifinals on Friday and the championship game on Sunday.
The semifinals and final match will be aired live by the Big Ten Network.
Tickets for the games will be sold as day passes at a rate of $7 for adults and $5 for senior citizens, students and youth. For a complete list of game times and more information, visit the official Tournament website.
VOLLEYBALL
Friday, Nov. 5 vs. Illinois 7 p.m. Welsh-Ryan Arena
Dinner on the 'Cats presented by Vienna Beef and Sodexho: Fans who enter Welsh-Ryan Arena during the first 20 minutes the doors are open will receive a coupon for a free hot dog at the concession stand! Each fan that redeems their coupon will also be entered to win a Vienna Beef prize pack! So get to the match early, watch the 'Cats get ready for the match, and enjoy Dinner on the 'Cats!
Miniature Volleyball Giveaway - The first 200 fans through the gates will receive a FREE Northwestern mini volleyball autographed by a Northwestern player!
Saturday, Nov. 6 vs. Wisconsin 7 p.m. Welsh-Ryan Arena
Scout Night: All area scouts are invited to Welsh-Ryan Arena to cheer on the 'Cats as they take on Wisconsin. All scouts in attendance will receive a FREE patch! Scouts also have the opportunity to register to participate in the third annual Campout with the 'Cats event following the match.
Campout with the 'Cats: Northwestern Volleyball invites all area girls in 8th grade and under to cheer them on as they battle the Wisconsin Badgers and then campout with them after the match. The volleyball team and coaching staff will chaperone the campout. All participants must provide their own sleeping bag and pillow. Girl Scouts may register individually or as a troop. Mothers are encouraged to join their daughters at the event and spend the night.
Event Highlights: Player Autograph Session, Team Games and Prizes, Free Food and Drinks, Midnight Movie.
Registration: Cost to attend is only $18 and includes Wisconsin match ticket, dinner, snacks, t-shirt, water bottle, raffle ticket, Sports Authority coupons, and two vouchers for admission to a future match. MEN'S SOCCER
Saturday, Nov. 6 vs. Michigan 5 p.m. Lakeside Field
Senior Night: As the 2010 regular season schedule comes to an end fans are encouraged to come cheer on the graduating senior class as they play their last regular season home game at Lakeside Field. The first 100 fans in attendance will receive a FREE Northwestern Soccer scarf!
