Herbert a Headliner in Upcoming USA vs. Russia Dual Match

EVANSTON, Ill. -- United States World team member and Northwestern volunteer assistant coach Jake Herbert will be in the U.S. lineup when the Americans host Russia in a much-anticipated dual match on Nov. 19. The event will take place in Hempstead, N.Y., on the campus of Hofstra University.
Herbert is part of a stacked American lineup (listed below) that features six wrestlers who competed for the U.S. at the Wrestling World Championships in September, where Herbert made his second consecutive appearance at the event. All seven Americans competing for the U.S. on Nov. 19 are strong hopefuls to reach the 2010 Summer Olympics in London.
The Russian lineup will be announced in the coming weeks. Fans interested in purchasing tickets for the event can do so in advance at TheMat.com or at the door of University Arena on Nov. 19.
In his first year as a volunteer assistant on the Wildcat staff, the former NU Hodge Trophy winner is in the midst of helping head coach Drew Pariano and Northwestern prepare for its 2010-11 season-opening dual match on Nov. 7 at Stanford.
