Wildcats Set for Pre-Nationals, Bradley Classic This Weekend

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern, ranked No. 11 in the USTFCCCA Midwest Region, will be sending representatives to two quality meets this weekend -- the Pre-Nationals event in Terre Haute, Ind., and the Bradley Classic in Peoria. All Wildcat runners will be sporting pink ribbons in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The women's 6K seeded race at the Pre-Nationals meet hosted by Indiana State will begin at approximately 10 a.m. CT on Saturday. NU's contingent at that event will be composed of the following seven runners: Julia Buford, Sophie Ewald, Lexie Goldsmith, Audrey Huth, Libby Kocha, Michelle Moriset and Ann Powers.
Nearly 85 women's cross country programs from across the country are slated to compete Saturday in Terre Haute, which is also the site of the NCAA Championships on Monday, Nov. 22.
On Friday at Bradley, the 'Cats will be lining up with 19 other schools, many of which represent the competition will see at its NCAA Regional meet hosted by Bradley on Saturday, Nov. 13. They include local rivals DePaul, Loyola and Illinois-Chicago as well as Illinois State, Iowa State and Saint Louis.
The women's race will begin at 4 p.m. CT.
Results from both races will be available on NUsports.com following their conclusions.
