EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern wrapped up the annual Wildcat Invitational in style Sunday as graduate student Elizabeth Kobak took home the flight A singles title, outlasting Wisconsin's Nicky Stracar in the final, 2-6, 6-3, 6-3.
In flight C, junior Elena Chernyakova came out on top in the consolation finals, defeating Oklahoma's Tara Eckel in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0.
Also in flight C, freshman Nida Hamilton came up short in her final match of the weekend, falling to Iowa's Jessica Young 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, to finish the tournament with a 2-2 mark.
Fellow freshman Natalie Edell was taken down in her flight B consolation match against Minnesota's Peta Forsyth, 6-1, 6-4.

After taking next weekend off, Northwestern will return to action in the 2010 ITA Midwest Regional Championships hosted by Michigan, Oct. 21-26.
