Wildcat Insider Set to Debut on WGN Radio

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's Department of Athletics, in conjunction with WGN Radio (720 AM), is set to debut its first weekly radio show, "Wildcat Insider," at 8:30 p.m. CT this Thursday, Sept. 3. The show, which is being hosted by WGN Sports Director Dave Eanet and Northwestern Athletics and Recreation Director Jim Phillips, is the first of 40 shows to air during the 2009-10 athletic season.
"Wildcat Insider" is presented by Northwestern Sports Properties, the exclusive multi-media rights partner of Northwestern Athletics.
Each week, Eanet and Phillips will conduct interviews with a Northwestern student-athlete and/or coach, as usually another national or regional sports personality. The guest for the debut show will be Northwestern football coach Pat Fitzgerald.
In addition to interviews with weekly guests, the show will recap the biggest events in Northwestern Athletics each week as well as provide a preview of the week ahead.
