EVANSTON, Ill. -- It has been a wild ride for each and every student-athlete in Northwestern's 2008-09 senior class but it comes to an end this Friday, June 19, with NU's annual commencement ceremony at Ryan Field. Before saying goodbye, Wildcat fans can reflect on the careers of four remarkable graduating seniors -- Jake Herbert, Phil Brunner, Eric Peterman and Hilary Bowen -- courtesy of Northwestern Magazine's Senior Watch series.
Herbert (wrestling), Brunner (football), Peterman (football) and Bowen (women's lacrosse) are among 41 seniors from across the NU campus community profiled in depth by Northwestern Magazine. Click on the links at the top of the page to read their stories and, in the case of Herbert and Peterman, watch online video features detailing their extraordinary on- and off-the-field accomplishments at Northwestern.
Northwestern's 151st commencement ceremony, which will be the last under outgoing University President Henry S. Bienen, will involve student-athletes from each of NU's 19 varsity sports. The event will be highlighted by a commencement speech delivered by one of the most honored musical artists of our time, jazz musician Wynton Marsalis.
