EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern baseball players past and present came together Oct. 2-3 to enjoy another successful alumni weekend.

The weekend's festivities got underway Friday at Wilmette Golf Club with a spirited golf outing. This year's winning squad consisted of Julio Siberio, Mark Ori, Dan Brauer and George Kontos who posted a top score of 13-under-par.

The event moved to Wildfire restaurant later that evening where a large gathering enjoyed a tremendous meal. A silent auction and raffle with numerous outstanding items up for grabs raised funds for the NU baseball program.

Rocky Miller Park was host to a beautiful day Saturday for the annual alumni game. A total of 31 alums were in attendance for the contest, including 22 who suited up to participate in the contest. However, many of the alums had already stored their gloves away for the winter as a number of errors allowed the current Northwestern squad to post an 11-6 victory.

Colby Everett and Trevor Stevens led the Wildcats with two hits apiece, while Everett also drove in two runs. Eric Jokisch tossed three scoreless frames, while David Jensen struck out the side in one inning of work and Cole Livermore hurled a perfect ninth to secure the victory.

David Gresky paced the alums with a two-run double.

Northwestern Baseball would sincerely like to thank all of those who made the weekend's festivities a resounding success. In particular, the Wildcats would like to thank Bud Pohlman whose generous food donation made Saturday's cookout enjoyable for everyone in attendance.
